Diego Campos is no stranger to the world of exceptional coffee. A seasoned barista competition competitor, he has been honoured as Colombia’s best multiple times and most recently earned the title of 2021 World Barista Champion in Milan. Alongside his wife, Derlin, and with the invaluable support of her parents, Elias Roa and Bellani Sanchez, they have established their own family farm, Diamante. Here, Diego brings together his wealth of knowledge and passion for coffee, focusing on every step from seed to cup, with quality and innovation at the forefront.
While they are fortunate to have the time-honoured expertise of Derlin’s parents at their disposal, Diego is also committed to exploring new and complex flavour profiles, experimenting with a diverse range of varietals and processing methods. The farm is primarily planted with Colombia and Castillo varieties, while more exotic varietals such as Pink Bourbon, Wush Wush, and SL28 are gradually establishing their presence.
