The Ipanema Yellow Bourbon is crafted exclusively from the Bourbon coffee variety, a cultivar that transformed the global perception of Brazilian coffee. Originally developed on the African island of Réunion—historically known as the Island of Bourbon due to French colonial influence—the Bourbon variety made its way to Brazil around the 1750s.
In Brazil, Bourbon coffee cherries are available in both Red and Yellow varieties. The Ipanema Yellow Bourbon is distinguished by its use of Yellow Bourbon beans, delivering a harmonious balance of acidity and body with enchanting floral and citrus notes. This unique profile highlights the Bourbon variety's rich heritage and its exceptional contribution to Brazil's coffee legacy.
